• prepare detail designs and specifications and technical schedules for detail design by others

• check proprietary construction systems
• concrete chimney designs to ACI 307-98 and CICIND; steel chimney designs to BS 4076, CICIND, ASME-STS-1-2000, DIN 4133; silo designs to DIN 1055 and ACI 313; tanks to BS EN 14015 and BS 4994

For the contractor

Chimney repairs

• supply of engineering resources to assist his own design team for turnkey bids
• prepare turnkey designs followed by detail designs where the tender is successful
• undertake Quality Assurance design checks
• provide technical support in cases of design or construction difficulties or disputes

For the plant manager

• arrange inspections of existing structures and advise on necessity of remedial works
• advise on changes of use of existing structures

For the person already in trouble

• from our office in the London area we can attend sites in any part of the world for on-the-spot situation assessment with rapid follow up of investigation and advice on remedial measures
• carry out independent investigations and act as expert witness

For the insurer

• assist in establishing causes of accidents for the purposes of claims settlements
• review design criteria and construction procedures to assist in risk management and development of appropriate Policy conditions and exclusions.
