Pinfold Consulting was set up in December 2004 by G M Pinfold. He had been director of consulting engineering company NCL Stewart Scott for over twenty years before that time.

Previous to starting Pinfold consultants, G M Pinfold had carried out many assignments on reinforced concrete and steel chimneys, silos and tanks including designs for Owners and design-build Contractors, surveys and remedial designs; design of modifications for change of use and of chimney foundations.

Previous to starting Pinfold consultants, G M Pinfold has also carried out many assignments on steel chimneys for Owners and design-build fabricators including freestanding, stayed and frame supported chimneys.

100 m x 7 m diameter chimney for Shoreham CCGT power station.	67 m high multiflue chimney with three steel liners, Isle of Man.

Experience includes design and monitoring of construction of new works, technical appraisal of existing structures, and the specification of remedial works for chimney re-lining and repairs.
